Re: Do you own a kit/ your opion matters

I am slowly but surely rebuilding/modifying a F40 kits based of a 86 GT 2.8l manual. I have the most bad ass dash ever made! Thanks Amida!!!! and am working on an complete accurate interior. Sadly this summer I got next to nothing done on the car as I was to busy doing family stuff, etc.....Looking forward to getting back to work this fall and winter when it will not be so much fun to be outside.

Re: Do you own a kit/ your opion matters

        Hi guys,
Completed cars: right now I have 2 Covin Porsche 930 replicas, a coupe and a cabriolet, the 930 coupe I completed and it's used as my daily driver, the Cabriolet I built for the wife, both cars are completed to a similar high spec with Porsche suspension with coilovers, Porsche brakes, built VW trans with Subaru WRX turbo motors, all other parts are Porsche, glass, lights, interiors, etc.

Uncompleted projects: in my garage being worked on is a Mirage Countach, also have a set of 355 spider panels for the SW20 MR2 and another Covin Porsche Cabrio body & chassis.

Future projects: will soon be receiving a set of AD360 panels made by John Watson and a set of AD355 spider panels (with oem quarters, hood, door scoops, etc) from Bart, some 355 mirrors from Ron (Sactodreamer), all quality stuff made by some good guys.

Can't see me being bored or having nothing to do for a few years yet. :-\

Re: Do you own a kit/ your opion matters

i would like to see people start back posting pictures alot of them ,look ladies an guys if someone finish a car an only use half OEM parts because of his budget lets not bash him ,we should be happy to see another kit on the road or close to being completed ,i am posted this after a phone conversation i had today with a member here ,if a kit is to small or short for your taste pass on it , an at the same time if you manufacture a kit ( size comparped to OEM ) post this info at the begaining an move on as well so it does not come up later an if it does we can use the QUOTE feature
In the USA if you pay a company / person to start a plug, then it,s your plug and work ,it is not theirs to sell or trade !!

Re: Do you own a kit/ your opion matters

My first is my ZL1 Replica based on John Mosses late model Camaro concept.

I love this car and its a V6.

I really wanna do a Diablo or Countach at somepoint or an Extreme Murcielago on the MR2 chassis with a built motor and giant turbo.

I will behave myself unless the body panels look like a washboard.

Re: Do you own a kit/ your opion matters

Better not go after me then Sean..... My 308 has some pretty good waves in the back quarters I will have to live with until this winter when I stretch and widen the whole thing....

308 running but it came to me that way.....
355 that has everything done to it at least twice but still not running.... :-\

I am working really hard at stopping myself from pulling the motor and trans out of the 308 and transplanting the 3.4 DOHC in for this summer. Get it on the road, get it on the road.... I have to keep telling myself that over and over to stop the madness from starting up.

                  Cheers
                  Don

Pics of my two beasts. Who knew the final push pic of the 355 in May 2008 would be a 3 year long final push......
