  • Testarossa replica in France and presentation.

    Hello everyone.
    This is my first topic.

Excuse me for writing mistakes, I am French.
I am Christophe, I live in the south France.
    44, drafter CAD / CAM.
    I have two replicas. (Porsche 993 Carrera S 1998, based on a 1983 911 3.00 liters and Audi RS4 B7 2007, based on a 2004 Audi S4 B6.
If you are interested I can put pictures of my two other replicas in France.

And now I have to finish it ... A great adventure continues ...
I will have many questions for you all, and I will present you my side solutions I adopted for my reply.
I do not speak very much English, but I will try to express myself best.
To build my replica in France, I feel very lonely.
I already had some contact with people from the forum.
    I look your website everyday.

So here for my presentation for this car:
    2.8 V6 Fiero 1986.
Imported into France with French paper.
    Chassis stretched cord.
Front lights (ab + flashing), and rear lights to ferrari testarossa OEM.
    OEM wheels.

    And much work.
During the Christmas holidays, I will make reboot and do its mechanical maintenance.

    I have some problems finishing.

As the gaskets on the door windows.
Cutting B Pillar to put the glass. (i have a glass)
    Opening the rear hood ....

Full of fun topics to share with you ....

... I prepare you somes pictures.

    Best regards.

    Christophe.

Votre voiture semble incroyable !

    ------------------------------
    English translation:

Welcome to the forum. Since you did us the favor of translating your language into English, I felt it would be polite for me to return the favor this once.

Your car looks amazing! Looks like you have a long road yet to go before it is finished.

I would love to see the pictures of your other replicas. I myself do not have a replica of my own, but I visit this site daily so that I can get idea's and perhaps one day, I will be able to build one of my own.

Welcome to the forum once again. Your home in the background of the pictures looks beautiful.

Good luck with your build. Don't worry yourself about the language barrier, we have people from all over the world on this forum and we all speak different languages. Mostly we translate it to English.

Welcome once again. Looking forward to watching your build.

      Welcome Christophe!

That's a beautiful replica you have there. I love the wheels and the lines seem to be quite straight and well defined!

Looking forward to seeing more from you!

Christophe, welcome to the forum, as Mike says, we are from all over, so don't worry about your English.

Great to see a 'Ring sticker on the Audi, and I like how clean and tidy your cars are. The Testarossa looks like a nice base to work from. Stay in touch and please post updates as you make progress.

          Be safe!

                Bonjour Dorige 56,

                Christophe

                Hello Dorige 56,

Thank you for this nice message.
It's cool to be on a US website and write in French.
I bought my replica Testarossa in February 2008, a guy on a French kitcar site, because he was presenting and was selling ...without selling it .... I was seeing and I told him a proposal without really want to buy a car, because I already had what was needed .... but hey, the passion of the rehabilitation has taken over.
I like to seek and find technical solutions for my car .... and with that one .... I used. In addition the course is dotted with beautiful meetings, friendly with other enthusiasts, as on this website.
She was full at the Kit and especially to size, but in a condition, very poor, both in the assembly (in a hurry) than at finish. (son of iron wire and painting).
It was stored year some 50 km from my house to a garage which has worked over the mechanical level, personally I was going past two days a month to start again at assembly and finish, but for 2 years, I ' had a lot of work in the compagny or I work, and suddenly I had very little time for my cars, especially in priority for my family, but then I decided to resume in hand, I have repatriated at home, and I'll finish it in the slightest detail, as under the aspect not very clear as it is today, there are plenty of technical surprise and I will explain with pictures, later . (Adaptation and poses Rear tail lights assembly Oem, Adaptation and poses Front OEM lights, independant rocker panels steel, door hinges shifted outside 2' for rotation without going under the front wing , Rear motors Grill articulated with key opening , Opening front hood with on damper gas and bearings (thanks to Dave Terrill, Headlight eyelids on ball joints for precise adjustment, OEM Adaptation Wheels, Front pneumatic Suspensions, and so on ....
So here a few years working at my own pace turtle ... but she was far from home, big mistake .... rectified.

                See you very soon

                Christophe.

Thank you all for your very warm welcome.
I make images of the various works carried out on the car .... because as we see it as .... not easy to believe that there has been enormously from work done ....
Here are just some pictures to understand the work.
I am an amateur and I had only two days a month to work on the car.
                    Be indulgent.

                        bonne continuation.
                        pascal

ho the great job all that, it is true that it seems to need a little care now that it is near you, it will be easier to finish !!
you gonna put the fins on the doors ?
there's a sale on leboncoin in white, just without fins !
                        good continuation.

                            Hello Ferrarixxxman

Your car is beautiful, a dream for me.
I had seen it for sale on E-bay, and I had recovered from photo to my personal file.
The MR2 rear quarter panels and glass windows are great, your car is a work of art. I'll dream to be able to do that.
But this is not my expertise.
I preciously guard your personal details, for I have questions about finishing problems on my car: opening the back cover as complete on your own and that of Michael (Bodyman), I have a big gap at the bottom of the window door when it is closed, so I will contact you.
Thank you for this aid proposal.

Attached pictures of the problem, (07 July 2008).
                            See you soon.

                            Best regards.

                              Bonjour Pascal,

                              http://www.leparking.fr/voiture-occa.../ZX3I46A4.html

                              A bientôt.

                              Christophe

                              Hello Pascal,

I'll do it again as an original testarossa, I have worked on the doors, because it was in a miserable state, but I have not finished yet.
I saw the Testa on LBC, it's a short frame, not lengthened, but there is a very beautiful Belgium, beautiful, except rear taillights.
