How long have you been doing this ‘life long’ project so far?
The plan has always been to build it like this:

Looks fantastic. I haven't been "logged on" for quite sometime now. (Bad car accident a number of years back). Just getting around to "playing with / finishing" my 3rd 308 V8 swap. (Or thinking about selling it possibly) . . . the pins in my arm / back / other are making things difficult. Just wanted to chime in. Looks like a great project.Last edited by kit4me; 05-24-2020, 11:20 PM.Previous Builds: AF - 308 Replica w/ V8 & GM F-body Testarossa Replica
Current Toys: 308 V8 Project #2, 91 V-12 Jaguar XJ-S Coupe. 1983 Hurst\Olds, 1979 Trans/AM - 468CID Bracket Car.

I certainly hope you mend and can continue your build.

Bob
Thanks. I'm trying my best over here.. This 308 has been finished for many years, but a few years back I decided to build another V8 for it (like my last 2 replicas). I've had 2-3 people from this forum stop by over the years to check it out. The swap was about 90% done, but then I decided to "pull back out" the brand new 4T60 and do a 5-speed Getrag swap. (like my first 308). I knew I wouldn't be happy with the automatic after all of that work, so I "switched gears". I really just need to run the hydraulics and mount the pedals, slave cylinder etc. The engine, trans etc is all mounted, wired and set to go.
(No exhaust yet, so the neighbors LOVE when I fire that up. I also removed about 6" of the lower trunk area to make more room for a better exhaust system. With no exhaust now, It's louder than my 468cid 79 Trans-Am !!!Previous Builds: AF - 308 Replica w/ V8 & GM F-body Testarossa Replica
