These figures won't even get you close to a finished car so if this sounds expensive....

That's what I thought about my first replica, an IFG 355 years ago. It's going to take a lot more than $10,000 and wheels and tires to turn an MR2 into a decent replica. Common misperception.

just so we are clear, there are to different kits being displayed in the thread. taking into account they are both scaled to fit the mr2. one is carrera gt (the gemballa version) inspired and one is trying to replicate the gemballa more accurately.

While not an exact copy of a Porsche, the kit looks great and has the right proportions to make even a car buff think twice about its under pinnings! I have never liked Porsches but this rebody does look great on the MR2!

WOW Sweet!! The lower roofline makes the short wheel base look in proportion. My CKI kit on the Boxster looked off because the roof was to tall (in my .02 and I bult it!). To bad ths kit is out of my reach at this price.

This would make a nice car with an engine upgrade. I only know of a N* that hasn't been completed and an ls4 that has just started with the mr2. There is a person here who loves to put down GM chassis but you can put a lot more engines in a Fiero than an mr2. I'll admit that I'm a hp junkie. Too much hp is just about right.

I agree, most Porsche kits these days do not look to exciting, but wow these can pass for the real deal!
Must have more info on these kits! Price noted in the link is $8,300 exclude packing and shipping charges. The link for their site doesn't seem to work though.

I don't usually get too excited about Porsche replica kitsas most are very tacky looking but that looks to be very nicely done. No mention of a price that I can see. Did I miss it?
