    We were able to spend some time with are demo between are builds and got some pretty good number out of the stock motor. As many know our goal is 300hp with minimum engine mods. As you can see below we are on our way. It runs great at 190ft-lbs and had a fun run yesterday.

    What are "minimum" mods to you? It's going to take a fair amount of mods to get 300HP. BTW, would you happen to know the weight of the kit vs. the stock body panels?

      300 bhp with minimal mods? How long do you want to drive? 3 miles?

          Good start! What are you tuning with? Monitoring the knock sensor and have a wideband? Got a pump and some injectors in it? If so that's a Toyota 4-cyl, just keep the tune knock free, watch air/fuel and crank up the boost E85 would be a great idea too if it's available local to you. Get all the knock suppression of 110 leaded for $2.00/gal if you have 20% more fuel system available to compensate.

          This to me is the coolest option available for someone homebuilding. Not only is it a comprehensive kit with instructions/video how any packaged build project should be, but to have the legendary Toyota reliability, safety, MR-S handling and turbocharging as a bolt-on affair on the donor car? Sick!

            What a great picture. I love the engine cover. 164hp at the wheels. Is that about 210 at the flywheel? So the turbo ads about 70hp? I'm sure it is a blast.

                Nah, I don't think thats its close to 210 at the flywheel... There is not much drivetrain loss since its a mid-engined manual...It hink you could get more HP out of it turboed, but that engine wasn't designed for high HP, so reliabilty is going to be a factor unless you but in a lot of mods... thats what the 2ZZ was designed for..

                    To clear things up a bit we are looking to get 300hp to the crank which translate to roughly 245 to 260 to the wheel. Minor mods we are looking at will be a forged rods, mild cam additional tuning etc. This not a big deal and can be achieved somewhat easily. Again, to be clear as you can see on the chart pictured it is already at 164 at the CRANK so getting 300 to the wheel can be made with ease

                    I must apologize for stating that "minor mods", what is minor to us is not same with some one else.

                    There are guys here that race, I personally do not have much time any more.

                    Reliability to the 1ZZ at 300 rhp is not an issue and has been proven on many occasions that it is not an issue. Do not take my word on it, research it.

                    10 lb boost

                    We have driven it hard approximately 800 miles since the install and test. More mods and will dive it hard again. We are located in a facility for all to see and many in the area see us push the limits on these cars.

                      LOL, That sounds better... "minor" mods are intake/cat back, headers, etc... Anytime youre opening up the engine, that constitutes major in my book...
