  • My murci replica stolen at extreme sports cars two weeks ago!!!!

Hi everybody! I am Julien the french owner of the Murci was stolen!!
I would like to explain you the things! It's right my car has not been stolen at Extreme Garage but to a subcontractor!
To explain all the story: I began to realise this project with Extreme sports cars in november 2009! I came two times in HULL to speak with Damian Zacky and Shaun! We have materialized and we had done business under conditions, he promised me the car finished (without painting) the same car like him (the white murci we see on their website), it was the condition in order to I buy the Kit option 2, I wanted they realise the job to fit the kit! On the 27 november I paid the kit option 2, i have here the invoice with me! I paid in cash money to Damian Zacky 10 000£! We were in December and Damian and shaun promised me the car for the middle of FEBRUARY!!!!!!!!!!!!
But problem..... in May I had always nothing, no pictures...nothing, the work did not evolve! And one day after that Damian spoke me about a personn named Chris Turner (he had created my account with login and password fo extreme owner club website) because I asked many time to see the videos of the build!!!One day... Chris wrote me an email from the adress cturner@extreme-sportscars.com so I was confident...and during a long time I had no news from Damian but just from Chris Turner, Chris told me that The conditions had changed because of the Extreme's owner (Ashley Martin) and I had to pay as a measure of advanced work! I accepted! but at the begining the price agreed was 17500£ ALL INCLUSIV!!! in order I can come back to france with the car finished! But he asked me to add 1800£ ( I specified that I possess all the evidences of what I say because I have kept all their emails!) I was not agree!!!Extreme does me not no contract!!!!It's me who insisted on a bill after paying Kit Option 2!!!!Damian just handed me a paper filled with unreadable by hand and totally wet from the rain outside the hotel where I was when I saw one evening the night before the Hull campan'hill! He still ended up sending me an invoice by mail in good and due form an invoice that specifies the 10 000£ for parts and 7500£ for labor!
After that Christopher Turner asked me to make a bank transfer to his own account to the westminsterbank,I accepted and I transfered on his IBAN I gave him 4388£!!Just before this, he told me,he thought Ashley Martin is dishonest and he can finish my car with the conditions agreed but he was forced to move the car in a other garage where production costs were cheaper! He sent me a model by email and I sent this to ASHLEY! After three weeks Ashley let my car leave with Turner! But Chris Turner put my car to Paul Samphire's unit during 4 months!!!!!he has lied me by email during 4months!!!And when I wanted to retrieve my car unfinished, it's very strange, AShley informed me my car was put outside 4 days before by Paul Samphire ( who was unreachable by phone) because Chris Turner had not paid him for the parking where he rent a place to keep my car! So he has decided to put my car outside and since...it would have disappeared or rather been stolen! Now the police (dixon Detectiv) works to find the person responsible for this story that will eventually drive me crazy!![/b][/i][/i][/b]

this story doesnt make much sense.

If you went to hull in Nov 09, and they promised you the car in Feb10, why didnt you just go back in Feb 10 and ask for your money back?

Also, did you pay the full 17500 pounds?

There seems to be a lot of stick going round for Extreme over the past couple of years.
Are they really that bad with customers?
Obviously their product speaks for itself, but so many customers seem to be having problems and issues with Extreme.

To be honest it's putting me off ever going to them :-\

It's not that...its the industry in general.
Rule number one, dont give the builder any money. You rather break down the build phases into short procedures, and pay him after he's done with it.

Kitcar companies have the tendency not to put any priority on your project once they have the money....but then again, the construction industry is same...

                I agree,

In the construction industry (and any industry for that matter) you pay for your product when it's finished or ready to be taken away.
Tesco doesn't ask that you pay BEFORE you shop!
Builder's don't ask that you pay for the house BEFORE it's finished!

So why pay everything up front for a kitcar?
Deposit first maybe, part build cost a bit at a time maybe...

Re: My murci replica stolen at extreme sports cars two weeks ago!!!!

Here's the way I look at it For extreme:

As a company you spend vast amounts of money developing a great product, to stay in this cut throat business promises are made which can be hard to stand by, your company has great promotional skills and is a victim of it's own success, you find it difficult to keep up with the demand and start to get irate customers, but wrongly or rightly you take on more work/customers to keep the money flowing through the books, your supplier isn't fast enough, parts are not delivered, turnkeys take priority.
You stop going to shows, and get sick of complaints about lack of parts which you have no control of.
Think of this, extreme have one of the best Murci replicas, a number of turnkeys are being built, a number are also self builds, if parts are limited, who gets them first, and who has to wait?
I for one would love to build a Murci, but how do you meet demands for the product if extreme seem to have trouble themselves.
Satisfied customers rarely speak up, where as disgruntled ones are only too happy to voice their opinion. I'm not saying this shouldn't be the case, I just wish there was a more balanced point of view.
I hope the stolen Murci issue gets sorted and that extreme at least show some interest in the matter, after all the kit will need to be finished and those bits will have to be purchased from them.
                  D

It somehow makes me wonder when people make things up when we have all emails to prove different itís like this Julien , we ALLWAYS ask for part payment through a build in three stages, this way the customer is happy and so are we, you dumped your car off with us in November with no payment then out of the blue say you are coming to pay for the kit on the 18th December, this put your build off by 7 weeks, this is your own fault. Obviously your build would need re-booking as other customers are waiting for builds; our business does not revolve around customers that pay as and when they feel like it. The production of your kit then had to be re-booked at a later day due to late payment, when your kit was finished been made at the end of January you still hadnít paid for your first part of the build (engine move and bodying £2500) after waiting for payment and requesting it several times from you with no luck I had no choice to start the build and just hope for payment as our employees cannot just sit around but also cannot start another build as your car is taking up the build booth space. This was built in late February and early March, by the end of May you still had not paid the £2500 and said you wanted your car to go to another builder but did not say who only that it would be picked up on a transporter and he was doing it cheaper. We would not let your car out of our hands until you put this in an email. This email we still have, Although you owed us £2500 we let your car go with the intention of taking you to court for the £2500 we simply do not have space to store cars that have not been paid for. You have since then sent us an email stating you promised to give us the £2500 when your problems are solved. When I found out that you had sent your car to one of our ex-employees that was dismissed for stealing from us I email you and you chose to ignore my emails when you could have simply gone and got it back. The car was there for months after my emails to you before it went missing giving you plenty of time to retrieve it. Due to your own greed you left your car there knowing what I had said.
You are fully aware that the police have been through all the emails and invoices and said that it is no fault of ours that you are greedy and wished for your car to go to someone else to build and wanted to try and con us out of £2500, As you will now be aware we are taking court proceedings against you for the £2500 build cost that was not paid.
As you will also be aware the police have said your car was pushed out of your second builders garage due to none payment also

not sure if its ashley or damien writing the reply...ashleys probbably got a lot on his plate these days!!!...
but re this reply from extreme.....

well said guys, strange thing though after such a great reply, seemingly noone gives a stuff anymore about the FACT there is probbably two sides to every story......hey feel gutted for the guy whose lost the lot and seeminly the plot as well, but ive always been of the opinion if you cant build it yourself !leave the project alone"

things like this could then never ever happen.....

hope everyone involved sorts things out,the police have limited powers and abilitys on how they can deal with stolen cars ...someone else could so easily buy another old mr2 take its identity and stick it onto the kitcar......hell the doner cars been cut about enough so some v-i-n movement is hardly an alarm bell ringer now ...is it??......be a real pain to sort this one out for sure.....re the additional missing parts..dont know about that one but if i were extreme and i had been stuffed for 2.5k would i feel bad about selling anyone parts????the answers no i wouldnt...maybe the best way for extreme to get their bucks back,if the courts find in extremes favour what they gonna get???a couple of pounds "or euros" per month!! big deal

heck at the end of the day its an old car to the police, they are hardly goin to take dna swobs and treat it as a serious crime now are they???its harldy a murder or rape case is it!!

Seems pretty straight forward and well documented that...
someone was hoping to drop off a POS and get at least part of a replica back before being booted out of the shop for non-payment.
                          or
Ex-employee is trying very hard to embrass and dis employer who fired his sorry ass.
                          or
                          a combination of both.

Nothing except the janitor goes into a shop unless there is a deposit or payment up front. IMHO

all extreme has answered is wrong!!!!!! At the begining we were agreed with Damian Zacky that I must pay 7500£ for the labor at the reception!!!! When the car would be finished!!!! It's Chris Turner ( the ex employee who asked me by email to pay in three time 2500£!!!) and I paid him!!!! He told me he would gave you 2500£ for the work you have realised!!! I paid him 4400£ by transfer bank on his own account!!! I have the prove! Chris should pay you and paul samphire with this money!! I paid what I had in due time! perhaps not the right person, but he wrote me from your garage with your email adress!! So you must explain on this topic because for me it was an integral part of Extreme since it replaced Damian Zacky! I am in possession of all the emails!
And you lie! I have the invoice! I gave you my car in november ( blue MR2) and I come back to pay you on the 27 th november!! See the invoice you gave me!!!

I would like to clarify that most of the facts contained in this email are lies! I can if you want to come to see you with all the emails received from Extreme, or transfer you them by email! I just think they are trying to save their image, to save their skin on this forum! Ashley Turner told he didn't know it was Turner who has took my car...it's wrong!!! He is aware from the very beginning!!! And he never, at no time warned that he was a crook! You will can read my emails received from Ashley Martin! He warned me in no time!
I gave him my car filed early November and I'm back to pay 10 000£ for the parts (option kit 2) on the 27th November! (not on the 18th December) I have a friend like witness if you want and the invoice delivered by Damian Zacki evidenced! When I paid Damian in cash money after have changed in an exchange point in London, he told me he had already built the parts for me and he would start the construction next week!!! Everything he has published in this email is a lie! they are horribly dishonest! If you compare the emails from my inbox with every lie you will understand what I said!
more departing it was agreed with Damian that I pay £ 7500 for work at the reception of the car! and not three times 2500 pounds! It's Chris Turner told me in an email that the new owner of Extreme was boring and wanted me to pay at three times! I've understood and accepted!
