  • Diablo kit companys

hello, all. I have been thinking of buying a diablo kit, roadster or the VT, my wife wants the roadster.I really want a good body and window glass package, all the other stuff like grills and parts i will probley get later. i have talked to the major companys like D&R ,NAERC. Now i am trying the smaller companys. I know several people on this forum live in Florida, can anybody tell me what they think of the kit that Mike Vetter sells. www.kitcar.cc . There is another company www.kitcarman.com has anyone bought anything from him or seen his kit . There is this company out in Calfornia, called GoodSpeedRacing, there website is down right now, anyone ever heard anything about them. Then there is www.kingdomcustoms.com , i know the body use to come from exotic rebodies, any info on them. if anyone knows of any other companys they recommend please let me know. Thanks for the help.

I have a completed Diablo Turnkey with a Big Block in it. I have done lots of research with different companies. D & R or NAERC are probably going to be your best bet, but they will also cost quite a bit more because of the completeness of the kit. I am selling mine if you want to check it out.

Who did you deal with. Naerc or d&r? I went to D&R and was totally blown away with the quality of the fiberglass and the the R&D that went into the Roadster.
I am in Canada and Nearc is probably the easier way for me to go with duty and taxes etc. I am worried about the 'hand laid fiberglass' though, I HATE hand laid fiberglass unless it is done by a TRUE pro, there are only a few on the planet. Some of the chopper gun glass I have seen is better than OEM corvette I have seen.

        Cheers

              No,
I did not have my car at Carlisle.

Living in Canada I would definately go with NAERC. My car is a Tube Chassis/IFG Car. It is a great car but if I could do it again it would probably be NAERC, because of all the high quality accesories that comes with the kit. IFG does come with accesories but some of them were tossed and refabricated by Wild Rides.

Thanks for the compliments on the car, I have put some test miles so far and this car Hauls. With nearly 600 Horsepower on tap it is not a hard thing to do.

I know a thing or two about Kingdom Customs. I've also heard a few things about the companys in CA. I believe Goodspeed Racing, Top Gun and Triangle G all share the same roadster molds. I've heard of quality issues with the bodies but they may have taken care of that since then. The completed cars I have seen look real nice.
With Kingdom Customs you won't get all the glass, just the fiberglass pieces. The parts are professionally produced using the chopper gun method and I am real happy with the quality.
