WestFest - Central Coast California Fiero Show

I should have posted this over here earlier just in case any of you were interested in coming out...

Next weekend, July 16-17-18, is the annual WestFest show. This year we are looking at having about 50 cars from at least 5 states.

The show is being held in San Simeon, CA just about three miles South of the Hearst Castle. The actual show is on Saturday but we are having registration and a tech session on Friday evening. A lot of us are actually heading over on Thursday morning.

The show is open to ANY Fiero or Fiero-based kit car. We have a nice breakdown of classes so you can compete against cars similar to your own. And we also have a Display Only class for people who just want to come over and show off all their hard work.

Sorry I didn't post this earlier but my new wife felt the wedding and honeymoon should take precedence! haha

By the way.. If there are any vendors who would like to donate items for the raffle, or for goodie bags... We are doing a vendor page that will advertise your participation and link back to your website. At last year's California Coast Run, we had 25 vendors offer up items for the raffle and we used the proceeds to donate to St Judes Children's Research Hospital and to the maintenance of Pennock's Fiero Forum.

Sounds great, but it's a bit far for me, and i dont have a fiero :P

Oh, just dont drink the waterfrom the hot springs in the city hall parking lot  ;D

You just gotta keep making me homesick, don't you! haha

It's looking like about 55-60 cars now. I'm not even entering one myself but hopefully I'll be driving a 355 Spider in the Coast Run in November! We're still frantically trying to get Rie's car all together. It is supposedly being painted this morning. The entire new custom interior is sitting in my dining room. All sorts of other goodies I gotta install... And we're supposed to leave at noon on Thursday going over there... You see, if you were coming out here you could stop and help me with all of this stuff! haha

I'll have pictures next week... There should be at least one kit car there... My buddy Bob always brings his ZZ4-powered Corson 512.

Hey Songman,

Sounds like you have your hands full with the interior and such. I'm having trouble getting a mechinic to do my 3.4L DOHC Swap. I did some bodywork and Paint for a guy last year and he said if I did the body and paint work he would do the engine swap for me. Well now he says his back is all messed up and he refuses to pay for the work I did. We didn't have a contract or anything just a gentlemans agreement. Well this guy turned out to be a real jack ass. He said it was absurd for me to ask for money. He said the car wasn't fixed correctly and the paint was crap but last year when he picked the car up he made no mention of it then, and went to the Ed Park's Fiero swap meet and told me that he had one of the best cars there.

Well anyway, we did about $2500 worth of work for the guy and he like I said turned out to be a jack ass. Keith is his name don't know if you know him or not. So I'm looking for a Mechinic to do my engine swap. I have an 88 se as the donor and the engine is coming out of a 97 Monte Carlo with 58K on it.

Sorry to go on such a rant but wish I was out there for the fun.
