Need 3800 SC II Cat Converter California

Just got off the phone with West Coast Fiero! Sales man kept rambleing on, and on and on (He must have been High on Drugs). I could not place an order for a 3800 SC II cat. says they dont sell Catalitic converters (what a Kook).He continued to ramble on, and on, and on.Then he proclaimed how I can't put that cat on my fiero,so I say yes I can it has a 3800 SC II engine.This cat was recomended on an older post and is listed on their web sight,says they only sell to other states as he rambles on,and on senselessly.I live in California and I have smog laws.So my question is,what cat are you useing? I asume anything with the same dimensions as the one listed on their web sight,stainless steel would be nice .

Our West Coast Fiero cats are constructed of stainless steel. (stainless would be nice)

I head the cat has a cross refrence number and needs to be the correct one.....Help,anybudy!

Thanks for the tip,yea, Ive been to the California DMV web sight so Im a bit familure with the procedure, but Im not ready to have that done by January (They only have something like 500 of those certificates)so it looks like Ill need a cat if I expect to drive it till next year, hopefulley I can get the smog exempt status then.

Only in the old days did the 500 slots fill up in January , not this year with the economy no Body applied!!
-I got mine this august and they stil had over 200 left!!

So are you still getting a cat? Why? Do your sb100 now.


The car doesn't need to be completed, I don't know what stage your build is at but you can take the car to the referree with the body off, it's just a quick visual they don't run the emissions tests.

And you don't want a cat on it otherwise it might be listed on your door sticker. The only emissions equipment I have listed is pcv and thats all any engine I swap in would need to have .

Its got no rear wheels on it,the fuel tank isnt installed and the battery is shot.Problem is my drivers license is suspended so its going to be a while,Im in no rush.
