Subaru forester rear door problem

I own a Subaru forester 2013 and it has an auto hatchback function. It's slow and annoying. So, is there a way to disable this feature?

With that being said.

Remove the fuse, unplug the lift motor or cut the wire.

I’m sure it follows the same concept as a lamp. Unplug it and it won’t work. Geezzz

A linear actuator that looks similar to a gas lift strut , which will need to be disconnected

The issue then is if it will still stay up without the actuator holding it up

Being a 2013 model and probably covered by a warrantee take it in to a good dealer and have it fixed if its that slow its annoying. Compare your opening speed with some on the dealers lot just to make sure slow is not the normal for these hatchbacks.
