  • 355 Tail lights

I have the plastic tail lights for a Ferrari 355, but no bulb sockets. Is there a socket other than Ferrari that fits? Please and thank you.
    Best Regards,

Are the tail lights oem or are they replica? Most replicas use the Fiero tail light bulb plugs.

EVM_Rob here in the forum used to make them. Not sure if his molds are still around but you can pm him for info. He just made me two sets of 308 replica tail lights and they are really nice.

I had the same problem. I used the Dorman 86850 universal sockets. They fit perfect for the 355 tail lights except for the reverse lights. You can still use them for the reverse lights except they need modified.

The trick about modifying them is you have to lightly tack weld the two metal pieces of the socket together. The base that holds the bulb has to be welded to the "fingers" (for lack of a better term) that goes into the tail light hole holding the socket to the tail light. Then you have to grind the socket so it's square so it will fit in the reverse light hole. Be careful not to grind too much off. The reason you have to tack weld the two pieces together is because if you don't when you grind it square they will no longer be attached.

I'll try to post some pictures tonight. I actually still have to modify and install one of mine because I grinded to much off of the first one.

You will need 10 of the sockets at around $4-$5 each. It's easiest to order them from your autoparts store since they only stock 2-4 at a time. It took me about 3 weeks to gather 10.

I still have to clean up the wiring but here is a shot of the Dorman sockets. And the modified reverse socket.
