Question regarding reinforcement of chassis for convertible

Hi,
I have the following questions. I am thinking of purchasing a Ferrari 308 convertible kitcar, but the chassis was reinforced only using the cross member bracing underneath the car. However, the cross member bracing is not welded, but bolt in. Is this safe? Do I have to redo the reinforcement the correct way?

Depends on which chassis they used, back in the day on the Fiero chassis they used a cross member brace bolted in so that the brace and fuel tank could both be removed for any reasons.

Yes, that's it. It is a Fiero Frame. Is that safe?

Yes it's safe, if it was properly built. I would replace hardware if need be. Raylambo is correct. Done to give you access to the gas tank.
