Re: Automatic Transmission
Don't know of a trans right off hand but I can tell you that if you find a 4 speed auto that bolts up to a 2.8L or a 3.1L that is in the 90's style cars, and then use the Rodney Dickmen kit to change the mounts to a Fiero mounted trans. In the 80's the top speed limit was 55 on all high ways, now its 65 or 70 in some states so a 4 speed has been added for extra fuel mileage. That way be a god route to go?

Re: Automatic Transmission
I've got a 4T60E from a 94 Cutlass in my wife's Fiero. Of course it has the 3100SFi engine as well, but I think it bolts up to the 2.8. The older versions of the 4T60 are not electronically controlled so you should be able to use it without swapping the ECM. I love driving her car! About 2300 rpms at 90mph and smooth as silk!

Automatic Transmission
Hey Guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew of an automatic transmission that is a direct bolt in or one that someone sells a high quality conversion kit that would mount to the stock fiero 2.8. I am looking at a car that I would need to replace the transmission and was wondering if there was a simple way to upgrade to a 4 speed. I know GM made a auto four speed that was decent from 87-90 but was not able to find a simple conversion kit. Thanks Fellows
