200 HP, 275 ft lbs torque. Drivetrain is from a 93 Sedan Deville.

I had a 4.9 in my 308.. They have lots of low end torque and compared to the Fiero 2.8 with 135hp and 165tq the 4.9 is way way more powerfull.. Plus the V8 sounds nice as well.. It's a very acceptable drivetrain.. But the 3800 s/c has a lot more potential and a stock 3800sc will be considerably quicker than the 4.9..

I understand that the 4.6 is rated at 300hp stock. I want top hp for the buck. Has anybody ever turboed or sc-ed a 4.6?

I have never seen a turbo n* or 3.8 but I have seen "Her86GT" turbo 4.9 you can search over on pennocks for different engine swaps.

No problem, just thought I'd put it out there. It is the fastest car I've ever owned. It's quick! But the 3800 SC is definitely a better engine. I doubt you could get one for $3K though. The N* is one of the most expensive swaps, and I've heard some criticisms of it. I'd personally choose an SBC over iN*. (speaking of that I have an SBC kit I'll never get around to installing if anyone's interested.)

HI all,

A fella by who goes by "rockcrawl" had done a turbo N*, the trunk was cut out for the turbo though... There is also someone by the name of "AJxtcman" that is adding some kind of a blower to his N*, both of whom you can find on Pennocks Fiero Forum... Though his site is up, from what I hear, "Rockcrawl" is kinda hard to get ahold of.....

Run a search on Pennocks, in the Tech section under AJxtcman, personally if I were gonna do a N*, he would be the one i'd talk to!! He's brought it upon himself to make that engine sould like a ferrari, and boy does his youtube vids, under the same name, show testiment to his stubborness......

edit to add: I do by swear that I am not out to stop RHK from selling his car... Just out to add options, n help out our fellow car nutz....

Re edit: Talk to Pennocks Forum member "Darth Fiero".... He turboed a 3800, and there is another person who is having a turboed 3800 done by someone on pennocks..... There is also a pennocks forum member with an SC and Turbo, both hooked together to a 3800, was done by west coast fiero.....

Check this list from Pennocks for a constantly updated list of the quickest cars and the drivetrains they used.. You will see my car built by Don Kraus is still the 4th quickest Fiero on record (behind the three 10sec cars)..
