Re: What is a 308 replica worth these days?

I could buy any car I wanted, even considered the new 2005 Ford GT. I like kitcars myself because their fun to drive. Ive had a 308 kit i did for almost 7 years. Ive spent over $30,000 on it. Sure I could have gotten a real one but why other than to impress people. I can drive it everyday if I want, dont have to worry about a breakdown in the boonies. Ferraris ARE very high maintanence. Would you spend $4000 for a 30K tune up, $3500 for a clutch, or $5,000 for a brake job on a 308? Not me. A few Ive personally run into that I used on my kit. Front turn / park lites from Ferrari...$200 each and on at least a one year back order, horn button $140 and was also back order for 9 months. I ended up with them from ebay for LOTSSSSSSS less. And no one knows the difference. My 308 replica will blow a real one off the road, done it twice. Real ones are just a status symbol and not worth the money in my book.

My 308 replica is for sale for around $12,000. Ferrari red, modified bumper to bumper, custom flush headlites, interior, turboed v6. Runs and drives perfect, many time show winner. Ive driven it for 7 years now so its not perfect. Many pics at http://groups.msn.com/rogerscarphotos. I had an AMG Mercedes SL, a few vettes, GT40, Porsche and a Magnum Hemi. I can afford to buy whatever I want. I sold my air charter service including 7 paid for planes. I dont like $5,000 brake jobs, $3500 clutch jobs, or $25,000 engine rebuilds in a daily driver is why I like the kit. It has 100,000 + miles and still runs perfect, uses no oil and flys like a BOH. In fact I have street raced a few real 308s and blew off their doors.
