We stopped to see Dave yesterday. He is doing much better. He was telling us that he is the only one out of 6 that had survived the extensive surgery he had gone through from his Doctors. Looks as though he has made history and their will be articles written about his surgery. His Doctor said he had the bigest tumor that has ever been able to removed successfully.

His wife Meg was able to bring him home for a while on Thanksgiving day to be with the family.

I'm so glad he's doing well, he's seriously been through alot with this ordeal I'm sure, both Dave and his wife...hope to see him back on the furoms in the near future...now about that cake!

Wow.. I did not realize the odds for success were so low with this procedure and the tumor was so large.. Thank god he beat the odds and is over the critical part of the surgery and recovery process..

Thanks for the update and hopefully Dave will be back home soon..

I haven't been to see him since Thanksgiving. Ari and I are working on the photo cake from the forum members. Ill send along an update soon when the cake is delivered.

Update

Dave got his cake today from all the forum members. He was very excited to see all the members on the cake. I wonder which one of us he will eat first?
Dave is currently doing his rehab which consists of speech therapy and walking. He was told that as soon as he is able to walk on his own. He will be able to go home. (should be about a month) He can't wait for that. They don't even have internet hook up there. All he gets to do for excitement is watch soaps and cooking shows.
