              Re: Tsunami alert

1-2 feet can be very bad. What they did not tell you was the wave length or speed. Most Tsunami's are not tall till they hit land. Think about a wave that is 1 foot tall and 100 feet long. When it hits land, the length will shorten causing the wave to raise. You can see this affect when watching the wave crash on a beach. Now if the wave is over 1000 feet long, think about how high that wave is going to get.

Let's all hold our breath and see how long it takes for the rest of the world to come render aid to our tsunami stricken peoples. :-X Oh, wait, that's right. That's what WE would do. But we're the "horrible, war mongering, and evil imperialist." As far as they're concerned this will be "Allah's righteous judgment on the wicked."
Check out the first 2 mins. of this National Geographic video to see the potential damage.
