  • customs duty!

    My brother in law has a few electrical components he needs to send to me. he lives in the states. I live in the uk. Now he wants to send them to me so i was wondering what he need to write on the customs form.

    I believe if it is a GIFT and below a certain value you will not be reqd to pay duty

        i think the value has to be $200 or less, anything over you have duty

          In the USA if you pay a company / person to start a plug, then it,s your plug and work ,it is not theirs to sell or trade !!

            How kind of him to send you that as a "GIFT".
            If you had purchased it from a someone or someplace, there might have been excessive duty on it to be paid.
            Lucky for you he had one just laying around and was willing to send it to you for your birthday!!!
