Re: odd and interesting question
It's all possible. You could setup switchable cameras for the different views and hook those to LED display glasses. Controlling the car is the same as a huge RC car... with huge motors. I use to come up with all sorts of crazy ideas for making the Knight Rider Trans Am a reality. Check out some robots sites and they have all sorts of crazy gizmos for stuff like that. www.wraithinnovations.com

Re: odd and interesting question
you can buy robot kits and even use lego Mindstorm sets and reprogram them in C++ to follow camera queues like a certain color, light, etc.. Theres many little robots that follow red balls and such, but why would you want that for a car? you got a deadly, expensive, and complex disaster waiting to happen. it could decide to pick up a tree 300 miles away and you couldnt stop it ;DProfessional 3D, web, graphic, architectural, interior, and CAM design at affoardable prices.
Any questions: voicemail/fax (323)281-0583
sales @ rt-network.com

Re: odd and interesting question
I can just see it now. Someones got the camcorder going and you have the miniature remote control to steer the car over to your location to pick you up. Of course it wouldn't be impressive unless it's done in true Knightrider fashion and that means it's got to be a high speed manuever starting with a tire-roasting cloud-o-smoke burnout terminating in a screeching halt just inches from where you standing. This will require nerves of steel and legendary bravery of unheard of proportions. If you pull it off you will be the envy of men everywhere and the object of beautiful women's desire. Okay no sweat, let's do it!
3 months later after countless hours and emptying your bank account you've done it. You have actually built a pretty convincing replica of the Trans-Am from Knightrider.
The camera man is in position and "Action!"
The engine revs to a Nascar-like crescendo and you drop the hammer! The car launches with a violent lunge and the tires light up in an awesome display of power and leave big greasy burnout marks on the pavement as the car rushes toward you with increasing alacrity. You remain motionless as the car approaches you and BAM it hits you and you go flying through the air like a rag doll. It's all on video and you achieve your 15 seconds of fame as a video clip on "Jackass", or "Worlds craziest videos"
You don't need to be a lip reader to see bystanders mouthing the words "What the F* was he thinking!" just before you black out.
I say GO FOR IT!
Even the longest journey begins with the first step.
