  • My new project as of the last two months.

Here are some pics of my 2004 Nissan Maxima theft recovery I bought and am rebuilding. It only has 22K miles and I'll be into it around $12K when I'm done.

Looking good, not exactly exotic, but probably just as comfy as (if not more than) most kit car projects

Well I had two choices, finish the AD355 and daily drive it or buy something else. As much as I really want to get the 355 on the road, I went for the more pratical family car.

yea, can't be easy to decide which kid goes in the front and which in the back (given that the passenger seat is occupied)

I'm back at another one of these projects:

It needs a new bumper/hood/roof skin/windows/and the bedrail repaired. It's a 2006 with 7300 miles on it and with Chris' help I paid $8,800. I figure I'll be into it about $12K when it's all repaired. It's salvaged but a clean one books out at about $25K. I was in the market for an inexpesive truck for about $2-3K when I found this deal and couldn't pass it up.

Do you do all the work yourself? or do you farm some out?

Where do you obtain the parts? ebay? brand new/OEM?

Re: My new project as of the last two months.

At first I was planning on doing it myself but I have a friend coming over tonight to give me a price. If it's reasonable I'll probably just have him do it. I just picked up the roof skin and roof supports from Dodge $571. The front and rear sliding window are $450 aftermarket. These are the main parts I need to get it back on the road. The hood/bumper/& bedrail are more cosmetic and can be finished later.

                  YES YOU are! HAHAHAHA!

$600 for the roof body work, I'll have it on the road for about $10,500 (less paint).

yeah. have you tried www.kbb.com ? type in a zip code like "21702" and search around. thats maryland, though. Prices are different depending on location. Jersey cars are very cheap.

                      Where are you moving to?

What the hell is a 'week long fishing trip?' sounds more like "an unsuccessful fishing trip that never ends" to me. lol. jk. Here in Maryland, we catch them! White Marlin capital of the world.

Some nice sharks here! caught a 250 lb Mako last year.

those prices seem pretty high... did you pick the best of everything? retail value? should private-party. retail is way off on kbb.

...because here in the US, we have www.craigslist.com !! lol kind of a red neck thing but theres always a few Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, too many BMW's to even think about. You she be able to get a fully-loaded x5 4.3 for under 30k.

I will upload some pictures after the weekend. heading to the beach house and thats where the pics are.
A few nice Yellowfin-Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Mako's, etc... good fishing in Ocean City, MD.

boats are a hole. I own a j-14 Carolina Skiff, while my dad owns a 210 Sea Pro...we just got it fixed and ready to sell to step up to a 27' (pushing the allowed length in our canal) which happens to be $120k... no body said boats are cheap!

Im in Rob.. Sounds like a week long fishing trip would be me trying for 6 days to get a 250lb shark into the boat..

I have to hear that storie sometime... When you invite me to come along.. ;D
